Clinical Services

Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is a form of psychological intervention, during which time, the individual, together with the therapist, explore and try to understand any difficulties there may be, including how these are affecting daily life. Choices can then be made as to how to manage more effectively in the world and in relationships etc. Sometimes past difficulties, including how they impact current functioning, are also explored.

Couples, Family and Group Psychotherapy

Couples therapy can assist couples to communicate more effectively and reach new levels of enjoyment of their relationship.

Family therapy involves the whole family to try to understand current patterns that are causing difficulties, and then to make changes in the family system.

Group therapy involves the coming together of groups of individuals, all wishing to understand, explore and/or change current functioning.

Emotion Regulation and Coping Skills Groups (DBT)

DBT aims to solve problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, behaviours and cognitions through a goal-oriented, systematic procedure in the present.

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessment involves the use of assessment tools to gain information about an individual's psychological functioning, including cognition, intelligence, personality and emotional functioning.

Psychological tests measure these aspects of a person's behaviour.

Psychological assessment is useful for identifying causes of problems in living, such as poor occupational, educational and interpersonal functioning and can guide treatment and management of such problems.

I offer a wide range of psychological assessments including the following:
